I respected his theory of restocking the cupboards and building from goalie out, unfortunately that was completed a year and a half ago. Since that point this team has remained stagnant in growth and play. The players on the ice lack NHL talent, are predictable, and there is no prospect in the pipeline that is a garanteed offensive threat.
Dean can not draft 1st round talent (he was handed Doughty,Schenn)(failed on Hickey,Teubert)
Dean can not manage to sign that big name free agent
Dean has failed to add that sniper winger that has evaded us for years.
Dean did add Richards
Dean does draft well in the later rounds
Dean has built a winning team
Both pros and cons with DL . Unfortunatly like in his time with SanJose, he just hasn't done what it takes to take the team to the contender status.
