Bottom line: when Dallas is playing its best, GM Doug Armstrong trades to make the team better; when L.A. is playing its best, GM Dave Taylor talks to the press about how he's quite happy with the team.

When Boucher was out for a few games, Dallas saw just how important he was to their team. Armstrong rather quickly addressed that issue by acquiring Niinimaa. The Kings have had needs all season and the fans are still waiting. Say what you will about Niinimaa, but he filled a pressing need for the team and Dallas tightened its grip on the division lead.
