If the Seattle NHL team sells out all of their games, and they will for sure the first few years at Key Arena while the new arena is being built, it shouldn't hurt either team. Heck, the increased hockey interest could help both teams.
If there is not a local boom in hockey interest after the NHL arrives, the Thunderbirds would certainly be in danger while the Silvertips will survive, but probably have lower attendance than they do currently. If Olympia ever gets in the arena game, it could be a potential landing spot for the Thunderbirds.
