I gotta love Steve Downie, but any hopes of making him the next Rick Tocchet are pretty far fetched IMO.

While at the WJC's he epitomised the hard work that you want from every single player on the ice and balls-to-the-wall attitude. Unfortunately, and I thought it should have been evident to everybody, Downie doesn't have an offensively creative bone in his body. He's going to be that kind of player that will score 15 goals, maybe 20 goals in a year and will work his hardest for every single one of them.

If I was going to liken him to anyone, I'd liken him to Dallas Drake who is a guy that any team would need for winning the Cup, but won't get you a buncha goals in the process.
