(on whether he had been working on his shootout moves…) A little bit, I guess. [laughs] We joke around a little in practice. I saw the five-hole and just tried to slide it in. (on the game…) I thought we played really well. We had a couple moments there, but we got back on our feet and weathered the storm. I thought it was a great all-around team game. (on Jonathan Quick’s game…) Quickie has played great all season. You can credit both of our goalies. They have kept us in a lot of games. They’ve done a great job."

They came hard after we scored, and he definitely gave us a chance. I’ve said it many times, that’s all you want from your goaltender. (on an efficient win…) It was a solid team game. Three lines put up goals on the board, and that’s what you need after a rough start, I guess, to the road trip. You need a solid team game, and I thought we brought it tonight and it paid off. (on the game…) The first period, they had a lot of momentum going. Then they took a penalty and we kind of switched it around on them. After that, they got a little lucky on the goal they scored, because Rob broke is stick and they went on a 2-on-1 down there. I guess it evened out right away, with (Clifford) coming out of the box and hitting him for a breakaway. The breaks were 1-1. It was nice to get that second goal just the way we did."

I kind of threw it out there, but I think it mostly him getting under it. (on breaking his stick on Stamkos’ goal…) It’s unlucky, but you also have to tip your hat. Stamkos is a proven goal scorer in this league, so he made a good play on a lucky chance. (on playing a solid road game…) In all honesty, we felt we should have come out with better the other night in Carolina. The ice was tilted in our favor for most of the game. I thought we did a lot of the same things here, but the difference tonight is, we buried our chances."

(on responding to Stamkos’ goal…) You’ve got to tough your way through it. A broken-stick goal. He makes a great play and he breaks his stick, but that’s what happens. (on Jonathan Quick’s game…) He was voted to the All-Star team for a good reason, or chosen. If you look at it, the two goalies with the best save percentages are the Rangers and our goalies. That’s the stat that usually defines a goaltender. (on responding to the Carolina loss…) You just move on. We talked to the guys this morning, and said, `Everything we did good, let’s keep it going.’ Keep the compete level high, and just work on finishing the job. (on the importance of the first goal to the Kings…) Every team. The first goal, in the NHL, pretty much sets the tone, when you look at it. It makes a huge difference to every club. If you’re a young club, even more so."

LET'S GO KINGS !!!

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER
