Both teams can easily play at Key Arena. The NBA Sonics and WHL Thunderbirds shared the building from its opening in 1995 until the Showare Center was opened in Kent back in 2009.

The issue with Key Arena for hockey are the view obstructed seating due to the ice configuration which slashes seating capacity.
