DD and Pleks are maybe our most patient forwards. This is very valuable, because they rarely make panicky, aimless passes, like most of our other forwards. In Plek's case, he reads the opposition better than anyone on our team, which is why he creates turnovers, why he's so good on the PK and why he gets as many shorthanded breakaways. The guy anticipates and pounces on the puck like a snake.

Desharnais is smaller but, ironically, more physical. He's a mini pitbull in the corners. And once he has the puck, watch how he's able to hold onto it, wait, circle, and finally snap it to one of his wingers. That's what's really impressed me about him: his brains. I underestimated him, but now I'd never want to lose him.

We're lucky to have these two centers. We just need one more center with a different style, to give us a balanced attack.
