I think people are a little unrealistic on rookies this year, especially because of how well some other rookies are doing (namely Ovechkin and Crosby). 20 year old rookies typically don't have very good seasons. They tend to be inconsistant and often invisible. Carter is doing good enough considering he's in the NHL at all at his age (especially on a team as good as the Flyers).
