Not all of us expect him to get 40. What we do expect though is that he gets a lot of ice time to develop. Instead, he's been getting 10 to 11 minutes of ice time a game. Yet, this is the same team that will give Brian Savage 15 to 16 minutes of ice time a game. See the problem here? Hitch will give a washed up, never has been and never will be more ice time while this talented young player gets spoonfed ice time. That's the problem. I can live with 40 to 45 points for a rookie season. What I can't stand is that he can do it, but Hitch won't give him the ice time and will give that ice time instead to inferior players.
