If Chambers really wants to sell his part of the team, how would letting one of the most valuable parts of it walk away help?
Also as I was reading this thread I had a thought as to why Lou hasn't talked contract yet. What if he doesn't want a public rejection of the contract to hurt Parise's trade value. If other GM's don't know he wants out then maybe that avoids low-ball offers. If Parise isn't traded then Lou can make an offer after the deadline.
