Yeah, so fine he's playing protected minutes while the Subban-Gorges pair takes the opponent's first line and is being bailed out by a very physical and defensively responsible Emelin(or Subban sometimes). He is a -4 despite having scored 7 ES points. What was Tomas Kaberle then is not what is Tomas Kaberle now, and what Tomas Kaberle is now is a #5 who can produce points but can't handle the load of playing defense without a stalwart partner.
And, as already mentioned, Ference-Boychuk and Seidenberg-Chara took on the big Vancouver fish because Julien and co. knew he would get destroyed by them.
