Neither is all that flattering, but I'd definitely want to be a "lid man," not a "lewd man." That reminds me of a bit from Roseanne where the boy cries "mom, she just called me a pre-vert!" and Roseanne answers back in a motherly tone, "no, no, you're not a prevert; you're a pervert"
