This is all that has kept me with Comcast CI, the ability to DVR a game while I'm working and stet mid-way. Other than that CI on Comcast blows: 90% SD, almost never the MSG feed. Get Directv of you can.
Yes u can watch a game from the start while it is still being played. It basically acts exactly like a dvr. The only trick is to make sure the scores are off. There is a selection at the top of the screen to turn them off otherwise you will see goal icons in the status bar on the bottom and all the game scores up top.

Lately there seems to be some kind of short preview cause I have watched parts of games before logging in, might try that but it could be a glitch.

Also, don't think it was mentioned but gamecast is only for out of market games. just an fyi for everyone.
