I don't think that's how a GM would approach the situation, though. If I'm Howson, I want quality players -- players with demonstrated quality, either as a regular NHL player or a prospect. I don't think Zuccarello really fits in either of those categories. I can't imagine Howson approaching a trade from the perspective of 'well, I'll take this guy, what do I have to lose?" Zuccarello's going to be 25 in September, and although that's not old, it's not exactly prospect territory either.

Maybe you're right, though, and Zuccarello is tossed into the deal, but I can't see any significant reason why Columbus would actively seek him out as part of the trade.
