Flyers get Nedved from Coyotes for Seidenberg
By Tim Panaccio

"The Flyers pulled another one of their famous late-Friday trade surprises, sending defenseman Dennis Seidenberg to the Phoenix Coyotes for center Petr Nedved.

Seidenberg was likely to have been traded because the Flyers are crowded on defense now that Joni Pitkanen is returning to the lineup. The acquisition of Nedved is a clear indication that the team does not expect the injured Keith Primeau back, perhaps for the remainder of the regular season.

The Czech center, who prefers playing with Europeans (there are no Czechs on the Flyers) put together some good years with the Rangers in recent times but has struggled horribly as a free agent in Phoenix this season with just 2 goals in 25 games.

The oft-injured Seidenberg has as many goals as Nedved in in 29 games.

Meanwhile, goalie Robert Esche is expected to start against Pittsburgh tomorrow while Peter Forsberg is out and Kim Johnsson is uncertain."

I thought Handzus was a Czech, no?
