Joe Sakic is probably outspoken comparing to most Swedes but you have a point. ;-)
There will always be exceptions, of course there are calm quiet people who have good leadership skills.

Ehm.. Sundin was the undisputed captain on a team with Lidstrom, Forsberg and Alfredsson on it. The latter is the longest serving captain in the NHL, one is the captain of the most successful hockey club over the past two decades, and the third the best Swede to ever play in a Tre Kronor uniform. That speaks volumes. I also believe Mats was a much more vocal guy in the locker room than you seem to think. Everybody looked up to him. If you could win on leadership alone, Sundin aswell as Alfredsson and Iginla would all have multiple cups.
