A concerned fan.
can you posta link from any legitimate source(McKenzie,K.Allen),saying the isles are slashing payroll by $10m?
Cause the ny papers are saying the isles won't move Peca,Yashin or their top 4 d-men,but that if the cheap young forwrds continue to produce, that in the next few months players like Parrish($2.3m) and scatchard($1.3m) are likely to be dealt.
Parrish is not and has not been on rehab assisgnment this season.Weinhandl's on rehab assignment and the isles are saying Weinhandl's return is one of the reasons for moving Weimer.
McKenzie reported in July 2002 the isles rejected a Scatchard+Izzy for Derek Morris deal..just to give you an idea of the type of player the isles would look to package Scatchard for.His $1.3m salary would make him very affordable and the isles have brushed off trade attempts by the Panthers,Oilers,Flames and Bruins for Scatchard in the last 2 yrs.
