It's generally a unwritten rule, leave the GM and coach alone to do their work. You can talk in meetings about vision, direction, but once you start doing Xs and Os and start pushing for operations decisions that means the GM or coach in question is done. It's not a crazy thing because Molson likely isn't working the phones or doing any real GM work. He's just telling Gauthier what to do as in "I no longer trust you, and you no longer have carte blanche, you report to me and we're going this direction". Pierre is still acting GM but his vision, his direction, are no longer part of the plan. That's what I assume anyway.
