Its a pretty good forward group imho. Get a top6 forward at the deadline if we are in the playoffs.

Gomez is gone to the AHL or Europe obviously. Bournival, Schultz, Gallagher, Kristo are the callups. Palushaj too if he manages to pull his head out of his behind. I could see Gallagher making a case to stay, especially if we have some injuries.
I don't hate this.
Patches-DD-Cole needs to be broken, makes the lineup all unbalanced. We need a bonafide tough minutes two-way line and we have the players for it, just need to actually put them together. Sadly Cunneyworth can't get his head out of his ass so we won't even try things for next year.

I think Bourque is a third liner/soft minutes player so we'll need an ES second line caliber player.

People will hate this but I'd try to buy low on Dustin Penner.
On ice teamshooting at 5.39% at 5on5 wich basically means the opposing goalie saves 94.6% of the shots the Kings take while he is on the ice. His personnal shooting% is 6.2 for a guy that is usually a 12%+ shooter, he plays pretty tough minutes and does pretty good in them. And as a bonus he'll be cheap due to his NHL.com numbers not looking good (his underlying numbers look just fine). He's due for some regression next year.
