I dont think Howson had any intention of trading Nash. Sather was obviously getting close to a deal that Columbus wanted which is why I think Columbus upped their asking price. He asked for a deal that he knew the Rangers wouldnt accept in a million years. It really is going to be awkward in Columbus now and you have to wonder how this will end. Obviously either Nash gets traded after the season for much less than they were asking now or Howson gets fired and they bring in someone that will make Nash happy.

Was Nash wrong for asking for a trade? Probably. But Howson should have never came out and said that he asked for it when the trade didnt happen. Had he traded him and wanted to tell everyone that its another story
