Can you please elaborate? I would assume the situation would be the same with what happend to Tim Erixon with Calgary. If Erixon didn't sign with Calgary, he was going back into the draft(since all new players have to sign a ETC). Instead Calgary decided to trade his rights to the Rangers.
I am not saying your wrong, I am just asking how the situation is different.
