My hip labrum has been torn for 5 years and I've yet to get it fixed. I play hockey 1 to 2 times per week. I'm sure it's a matter of degree, but this won't necessarily keep Versteeg out all season. Not that I'd ever wish for a person to get hurt, but it would be great for the Jets if he were out all season.

Come to think of it, I've also completely torn my shoulder labrum and had the Eric Fehr surgery. In his defense, it took me a full season to get comfortable/confident enough to play properly. Not saying it will happen for sure, but he might have a bounce back year next year. I've had no issues since the surgery which was in the fall of 2009.

Apparently I have weak labrums.

Edit: Fun fact of the day, the plural of labrum is labra.
