If we can't sign the big UFAs like Suter and Parise we shouldn't spend big money on second tier free-agents to long-term deals, that is what has killed us in the past. Re-sign Price, Subban, Emmy, Pacioretty, Eller to long-term deals and don't take on additional cap space for 2013.

Next year has some big UFAs like Crosby, Getzlaf, Perry, J. Staal, Clowe, Hartnell etc that would be a lot more intriguing than what's there this year so save room for then, obviously all of them won't become UFAs but i'd rather just save the cap space instead of signing a UFA this year like Hudler or Penner for example.

As long as Gomez is off this year somehow this summer we're already a better team. Also random question, but do we still own Perezhogin's rights? Maybe we can try getting him back somehow.
