@Lemons, these coaches are the Martin comparisons. Trotz plays according to what he's dealt: great goalie and great defence. He'd be a fool to play anything else and it obviously works. Tippett's team is a lot like ours except without their Price. And guess what? They're in that 8th place/1st round exit carousel. Yes they work with a smaller budget but still. No results.

Hitchcock has a solid team built in the exact same way the Bruins are built. Solid defence, tough deep forward core and 2 capable goalies. And they play exactly like them under Hitchcock.

I also think this Habs team -every now and then- tends to go back to the Martin way of lacking forecheck and attempting the trap instead of simple backchecking. Like they need to be reminded to play the new strategy.
