Wellwood's upside is speedy checker with not much offensive ability. He'll be on the 4th line if he comes up now, and I don't see him ever in the top 9.

They should move Talbot up to replace JVR, then do auditions to see what we've got in the AHL. We have an idea of what Harry Z and Wellwood can do, I'd like to see some or all of Holmstrom, Testwuide, Akeson and Harper given a couple games each to play 4RW with Couts and Zac.

Given Sestito's surgery, I'd like to see if Testwuide or Holmstrom could provide some size on the fourth line.
You seem to have misunderstood me. Wellwood is not going to even dream of putting up Jagr-esque numbers. He cannot replace him offensively, but that's not what I said.

Jagr is already pretty much expendable next year. Wellwood's emergence on the wing adds to that.

Hartnell - Giroux - vanRiemsdyk
Voracek - Schenn - Briere
Simmonds - Couturier - Read
Wellwood - xxxxxxxx - (Talbot)
