You make very good points. And I find myself in agreement with most of them.

I guess the best example that I can use to "forgive" White is from the great movie "A Christmas Story".

Little Ralphie and his friends are forever being chased and beaten by the bully Scut Farkus. No one fights back. Finally, Ralphie snaps and fights back against Farkus. He knocks Farkus down and then pounds on him for a long minute or two. Definite overkill. But needed overkill as a way to finally let all of the frustration come out boiling.

Should White do this every game? No. But once in a while, that craziness from him is exactly what this team needs. And identifying that need and then being appreciative of White addressing that need does not make me or anyone else a hypocrite for hating the Bruins thuggery while applauding what White did last night.

I hope this makes sense.
