Definite advantage to speed over size. And yes, the skill (puck control) has to be there. Size is an added benefit but not a requirement. The three who are big only, JT, Sedin and Getzlaf, only have one ring among them. The Ducks are good example of a team trying to go with one big without a lot of help.

I am awaiting this year's outcome. If the Rags or Bruins win, it indicates the increased possibility of a team winning by committee for the #1 center spot. A change of past history/tradition.
Are you referring to those who don't use their speed? Because JT is actually quite fast when he doesn't try to slow the play down. He was once even voted by players as 5th or 6th fastest in the league (not sure how I feel about that, but it seems opposing players take notice).
