being a skilled player, this is something you're going to have to get used to. you don't have to worry about fighting this guy, and forget about all the "reputation" and the chirps. no matter what you do, someone is going to have something to say. that's just how it is in hockey. use this situation as an example and keep going with it. the one thing you have to remember is, you're play completely threw this guy off his game. instead of focusing on winning the game, all this guy can think about is fighting you because you've embarrassed him countless times already.

most of the chirps like "i'm gonna kill you" or "im gonna knock you out" are empty threats. like you said, its house-league and non-contact and no fighting. don't worry about what this guy or his teammates say. if this guy is taking runs at you or seriously trying to injure you and the ref doesn't notice, as a the team captain go have a word with the ref, or get the coach to do it on your behalf.

best thing to do is keep playing the way you are, and if anyone chirps you just chirp them back. most of the guys that talk about fighting or chirp all game will completely shut up if you hit them back with a good chirp. whatever you do, do not feel like you have to fight're just dropping down to his level and that's exactly what he wants you to do.
