no where near as troublesome as the "big" blunders, such as trading for Kaberle, but yet another example that this management team does a piss-poor job at evaluating & managing the assets it has.

Pyatt & Pouliot are better assets to have on the NHL roster than Noke & Engqvist/Palushaj... cap hit about the same... So how do you reason that Gauthier did well by dropping the more talented/established players, while giving up a 7th rd pick & AHL prospect in the process?

Pouliot's spot was taken by Desharnais and Cole coming in. The top 9 was supposed to be AK Eller DD Cole Pacioretty Gomez Plekanec Cammy and Gionta.

The 4th line was to have Darche White Moen on the wings, Pyatt is not an upgrade on any of those guys. Engqvist and Nokelainen are centers who replaced Halpern who wanted to play at home in Washington.
