That is about the measure of it I believe...
At the time, I thought it was an illegal hit, due to my understanding of if a hit principally targets the head, and the NHLs statements that they wanted to change the 'culture' and harbor 'respect'.
But from what the NHL have responded, so long as you get a big enough piece of the body as well... that is ok.
In my book, so be it, so long as this view is now consistently followed.
Lets have some fun when Crosby comes back and 5 games in is hit like this, now players in the league have seen this judgement, and been told hits like this are fair game, career over for a concussion ridden guy.
