If a dman plays 27 minutes and you don't notice him thats a good thing. He's not making gaffes. Of course he is not scoring like he was before his injury.

and traded their vets ..
Sergei Gonchar had
49 points in 56 games
before going to Boston .. No Norris nor Hart consideration .. for that effort ..
Gonchar has also had
in a season in 2002 and
in 2003 .. In fact from 1999 -2003 Gonchar has been very consistant goal wise .. 21, 18, 19, 26, 18 goals over the 5 year period and the PP was his biggest contribution ..
Sounds pretty similar to our own McCabe contribution ..
In the new NHL with all the extra PP and the goal to get scoring up .. McCabe has 50 points in 45 games .. Great contribution as we would really be tanking the season with out that effort to but it is what it is .. McCabe is simply a PP specialist and a good one ..
