Even during PK's toughest ''struggles'' this year, he was never as bad as most made him out to be. He was always great at protecting the pucks, winning board battles, and moving the puck up. The guy is a stud Dman. The possibility of having him and Markov on two different pairing is just amazing. I really hope it happens.
This is true. But a big reason myths like that perpetuate is people being informed by bad numbers. +/- is a particularly bad one for that even though in theory it should represent the heart of what makes a player good, whether he creates more than he gives up.
