Rolston signed a 4 year deal when he was 35, and he got over $5M per year as a UFA when he signed with the Devils, and we know Rolston is not nearly as good as Shane Doan. For that reason, I expect Doan to get a raise from his current salary a $4.5M. Doan is a durable player and I could see a lot of teams competing to sign him. He's the second or third most significant free agent that'll be available this summer after Parise. Maybe $6M is stretching it (which is why I put it as my high range), but some team's will go through drastic measures to lock up a highly desired player. Just look at what the Panthers did last summer when they signed Fleischmann at $4.5M.
