His offensive game has come leaps and bounds, and there are definitely moments when Schenn makes a quick move with the puck and your like: "Wait, thats Schenn??"
Defensively, he hits a lot, blocks shots, but his skating is the one area he has been up and down in his NHL career. If he can start moving his feet more (power skating please) he could become scary good.
Also, Schenn is worth more to us right now. Last year he was our 2nd best defender, and expect him to be in a situation this fall similar to last season, or his rookie season: little expectations. As a rookie, he wasnt expected to make the roster, and earned a spot alongside Kaberle. Last year he was expected to be a 3rd pairing guy with Gunnarsson, but ended up stealing Komisarek's role in the top 4, and stuck as the 2nd pairing anchor all season long
