Well, look at Alexander Steen for example, he wasn't playing as expected off him during the time and prior to it when we dealt him but with bit more patience, opportunity, consistency, and experience, he is turned into one of the best 2nd line two-way winger in the league. Not to mention, Schenn is a
big body d-man and they require sufficient amount of time in the NHl before they can actually get their game going on the right track. Similar things have happened to defensemens like Bogosian, EJ, Vlasic, Beiksa etc who has had some good ups and down year like Schenn has had in his 4 year tenure here, but have come out on top with team showing right commitment, timing, and opportunity to let them turn their game around.
