I would assume that his contract IS valid in terms of the agreement, just not in the eyes of the NHL.
What a backwards ass league the KHL is. The league itself released Radulov to return to the NHL, but the club can hold that up? Who writes contract law in Russia? Children? Do they just make it up as they go?
How can the contract be valid wrt the transfer agreement between the NHL and KHL, but considered invalid by the NHL at the same time??
