I am from Edmonton and have booked a flight to NYC from April 17th to 26th. I would absolutely LOVE to catch a first round playoff game and I would undoubtebly cheer for the home side but I am wondering how I should go about getting the best value for tickets.
Right now, season tickets holders are selling tickets for the first round and the 300 section ranges from about $260-400. That seems steep. Does anyone have an idea of how difficult it would be to get 4 seats in a row from a general sale and likely what they would cost when they start selling?
Or would it be wiser to try to buy tickets closer to the game or will they just go up in price?
Any insight would be appreciated.

Those prices aren't really that steep for playoffs at MSG...
