Well, by NHL standards, Tootoo's hit was probably illegal. IMO, "leaving the feet" should only be called if the player hits high on another player (i.e. Hatcher on Modano a couple years ago). In Tootoo's case, for him to give a shoulder to shouler hit (which the Martenik hit was), he has to leave his feet a couple of inches.

BUT, it terms of "dirty" playing, the Isalnders are more guilty. Aucion's two hand chop to our player (didn't see who) was about is dirty as it gets. And he only got 2 minutes? Should've been a game misconduct.

Lastly, Chetawsky's (or however you spell his name) breakaway goal was two line pass. So the Islander's got there fair share of calls.
