His problem has always been that he is not always motivated to go to the difficult areas, and isn't always invested in playing a complete game. When he does he is a bonafide impact player. We all know (I'm hoping this includes Tallon and Santos) that Wolski has a tendency to drop in performance after the newness wears off. I'm a fan of the short-term contract idea. Let him stay for next season and maybe the next. A placeholder while our prospects develop. If he did in fact get a reality-check in New York and continues to play well, then we can only benefit.
