I dont really care if Tanguay gets suspended or not, but this hit has 3 or 4 pretty big factors that Shanahan likes to use.

1. Elbowing is illegal
2. hit to the head
3. caused an injury
4. oposing player did/didnt do anything to cause the play.

Using the Bouchard and Peters suspensions as examples, Tanguay's hit isnt any better or worse than either of theirs
