We just have to focus on the next game. We still can control our own destiny.’’ (on the late-game surge…) “I thought with the empty net we were fine. I thought with the power play, it needs to be a lot better in that situation. A power play late in a game, in a big game like that, we’ve got to find ways to have a power play like we did at the end of the second (period).’’ (on the game…) “It’s a game of momentum, and both teams had it. We had some, I think, really good chances early in the third. Thomas made a big save on Williams on the rebound. Then I think, on the next shift, they scored a goal. A swing of momentum for them. We kind of got momentum back. The last three or four minutes of the game, we had them running around all over the place. We just couldn’t find a way to score."

Obviously we made one more mistake than they did and lost the game 3-2 [4-2].’’ (on the tight playoff race…) “We know the situation we’re in. We’re battling with a bunch of other teams here to make the postseason, or win our division. We’re just preparing, every game, the same way. It’s a must-win. It’s never good to lose this time of year, that’s for sure.’’ (on facing Tim Thomas…) “He played well. Like I said, they scored one more goal than we did. It’s like our coach says, right? It’s a 3-2 game. We got some pucks to him. He played well. He got some breaks. We got some pucks by him, but they didn’t go into the net. That’s what it takes against a world-class goalie. We saw last year in the playoffs, when he’s on his game, what he can do for that team. We’ll look to regroup."

They’ve got the goaltender that, I think he was the most valuable player in the league last year at the most important time. And he was tonight, too.’’ (on whether Quick should have stopped the Lucic goal…) “I think he was screened. I think Robbie (Scuderi) was playing goalie there too. He’s got to get his stick out and control the angle a little bit better.’’ (on flipping Richards and Stoll in the second period…) “Faceoffs. Trying to get something different, righties, lefties.’’ (on the Kings’ power play tonight…) “The one at the end of the second was awesome. The one in the third was pretty good too. Hey, that’s what you’re trying to do, is get really good looks. I think the early one, where they scored the shorthanded goal, Drew’s got to expect that pressure there.’’ (on winning three of the last four at home…) “The team dug a hole on home ice early in the season, and we’ve tried to win every game since then. It’s simple. It’s pretty clear. That’s a tough task and it’s a big chore."

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER
