About Lundqvist looking bad in his first game or two on the int'l ice - if you think back to the beginning of the season, he had one or two games where he got beat on some goals where his angle was wrong and he later admitted that he was still getting used to the new ice. Most likely the same thing happened in reverse at the olympics. Since then, he hasn't given up any goals that you can blame on him (or at least that's what I understand from this board - I haven't had a chance to see any of his games).

As to his spectacular saves: he makes plenty of them. People have alread made mention of a couple on 2-on-1s recently and there was also a glove save from a point blank shot in the slot - not sure if it was Ottawa or Philly? The thing is, even when he's making an amazing save, going post to post or covering an open corner with glove/blocker at the last second, his movements are almost always completely under control. So there isn't that lunging quality that you see/saw from Hasek or Ricky. The saves are just as good (in fact, better), but don't always have that wow factor. When Lundqvist gets the crowd going is when he faces like 5 shots in a row and answers every one. Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.
