Double standards? How so?

Even the best players go through slumps. It's not hard to evaluate Max and see that it is just a slump. He's still going to the right areas, he's still shooting a lot, he's getting chances. He hasn't changed his tendencies. His effort level is still there.

He went through a similar slump right after his suspension and he bounced out of that as well.

There is difference between Pacioretty or Cole (who was cold up during Patches hot streak?) going through a 10-game slump and Gomez or Bourque going through a similar slump.Two totally different scenarios and for good reason. So don't try and stamp it as a double standard when it really isn't.
