Late in the game, Mount Lavy erupted. Coach Peter Laviolette broke Max Talbot's stick in anger and got into a shoting match with Penguins assistant Tony Granato.

Both were ejected.

After the comeback win, Laviolette criticized Penguins coach Dan Bylsma for putting out his goon-type players at the end. Several scrums erupted after an open-ice hit by the Penguins Joe Vitale leveled Danny Briere with 1:03 to play.

"Those guys hadn't played in 12 minutes," Laviolette said of the Pens' late lineup. "It was a gutless move by their coach."

Said Penguins star Sidney Crosby: "I’m sure (Laviolette) doesn’t like to see one of their top players getting hit... Maybe he shouldn’t have put him out there.”
