The thing about the NJ Devils that sometimes gets overlooked is that NJ has a ton of life long NY Islander fans still hanging on from the glory days of the 80's coupled with a still vibrant NY Rangers fanbase which existed there before the Devils moved in. I hear all the time how its easier for the local Devils fans to get into MSG then it is to get to the Meadowlands. Devils are competing with the Jets, Giants, Nets, Rangers, and Isles for peoples disposable incomes and the economy hasn't necessarily been making this easier. High ticket prices are another problem affecting teams everywhere today.
