This is a good point...we struggled with exactly this area because we wondered about things like the 'quality' of the professional leagues and the amount of ice time the prospects were likely to see.

For Shafigulin, it's an ice time issue. He's played only 25 games this season (2g & 5a), so it seems tough for him to get into the lineup. {Even Glazachev has only played 29 games, so we may have some egg to wipe from our chins } Both forwards are playing with Yaroslavl Lokomotiv in the RSL. In terms of development...activity level...something has got to give here.

As we've said previously, Setzinger plays in a pro league where many of the top players are 'retired' NHLers, so what is the real level of play all about? On the other hand, he seems to possess huge offensive talent, so we hope the Preds can somehow convince him to play in North America ASAP.

It seems unlikely these players will play in North America anytime soon.
