He probably could have been had last year for the right price, he struggled at times. Having followed his career from when the Jets drafted him, he always seemed to be inconsistant. He'd play strong for periods but never a whole game then finally the past few years he'd play a few good games and then have a stinker. Now, finally this year after being named captain he has taken his game to the next level, not only is he now a great player but he's just as much a great person.

I think this year with where he is in his career, he is untradeable barring a rediculously lopsided offer. You can't compare the Gretzky trade because Edmonton had won five cups, the owner was having financial problems, remember part of that deal was cash. I don't think the Coyotes have an owner with financial difficulties.
