In the east a team to watch is the Sabres. Good if not great goaltending. A nice defensive core. 4 good lines although no big sniper--they all come at you. Nice size and some grit. And fast. Hate their announcers though. They are the pits.

Some teams in the east I wonder about their goaltending. Senators without Hasek? The wheels might fall off their bus. Tampa I believe has Grahame and Burke. Not a big fan of either. Or of Esche in Philly. Wonder if Nittymaki will take over from him.
Brodeur is doing quite well right now. Carolina with Ward and Gerber. Not sure of either. Don't know them very well.

If Hasek is out Ottawa flops IMO . That will leave things wide open. Personally I'd put our goaltending up against anybody. If HL doesn't burn out and we get the pwp going and the pk we've got a chance if knock on wood we keep away from injuries.
