The Rangers captured the City that spring and it was a madhouse all around the Garden during the last 2 series when the Rangers were playing. The bars in the vicinity of MSG were 10 deep for every game. I think that if the Rangers make a deep run it will be the same again. After Messier guaranteed a win against the Devils and came through the ticket demand for the last 5 home games was crazy. WFAN who broadcast the Rangers back then gave away 2 tickets for the 1940th caller for came 7 and supposedly the phone lines went down because of ridiculous call volume.
I am looking forward to the playoffs
Yes the prices have always gone through the roof for the playoffs, especially if it looks like the Rangers can make a run. I remember I paid $110 for a blue seat to Game 2 of the Devils series in '94. Made the exchange with the scalper in the vestibule at Macy's. I really prefer Stub Hub!
