He probably deserves an audition on a scoring line at some point though. I don't know how good of a checker he is, to be honest. He didn't seem out of place defensively on the fourth line when he was up, other than that he is not tough enough for that role.
I agree that Gratton isn't strong enough to get on a checking line. He's more of a playmaker and goalscorer that can get his nose dirty than a checker.
He had 16 games and then 6 games with the Capitals before we acquired him.. and he played 8 games with us, so he didn't have any chance really.
